For our first kickstarter we feature two games: <kbd class="kbd-blue">Hamla</kbd> and <kbd>Essom</kbd>. Both games were made on Gotland, and they share the <kbd class="kbd-pink">award</kbd> for Best Game Design at the Gotland Game Conference 2025. As the Designers put it: “We are <kbd class="kbd-yellow">friends</kbd> that encouraged each other to present our games at the conference, so we see it as a very fitting ending to <kbd class="kbd-red">share</kbd> the award”.

Essom is an <kbd class="kbd-yellow">abstract</kbd> game design by Guido Salustri, a game designer from Argentina. Essom combines <kbd class="kbd-green">hidden information</kbd> with <kbd class="kbd-red">tactical</kbd> depth, where players need to search for and retrieve <kbd class="kbd-purple">hidden tokens</kbd>.

Summary.

Hamla is a <kbd class="kbd-blue">card</kbd> game design by Márton Bodrog, a game designer from Hungary. Coming from the world of Trutina, Hamla is a game of cunning, <kbd class="kbd-pink">bluffing</kbd> and a bit of luck, where you take the role of commanders preparing for <kbd>battle</kbd>.
